Installing Mods Safely

Mods feel much less intimidating with a little organisation. Back up your save first and always download files from their original creators.

The key steps

1. Back up your save and existing Mods folder.
2. Extract ZIP or RAR archives outside the Mods folder.
3. Put supported .package and .ts4script files in the Mods folder.
4. Enable custom content and script mods in the game options.
5. Restart the game and test with a separate save first.

After major game updates, remember to check every mod for compatibility again.
